Every Thursday afternoon Emily paid a visit to Dr. Jaime Rodriguez, the best perinatologist west of the of the third spiral arm of the Milky Way. Once in the office, Michelle, the ultrasound Queen, checked out how Angeline was doing. They measured the amount of amniotic fluid around the baby, looked for any potential problems, and measured the ratio of Angeline's fluid in the brain, which had remained stable since the surgery.
